An article on the development and use of one of our investments, the Early Learning Outcomes Measure (ELOM) has been published in a peer review journal – Child: Care, Health & Development (2019).

ELOM is a rigorously standardised, culturally fair and simple to administer pre-school child assessment tool, The tool indicates whether a preschool programme is effective in preparing children for Grade R, and identifies areas for programmatic improvement.

This recognition is important for ELOM as it helps to establish the credibility of the tool, raises awareness of its availability for use amongst researchers and generates interest in the data being produced.
